 session 1
We had started the session of by downloading a guideline for a magazine advert.

We then had to set out what we wanted the page to look like I did a quick small sketch and then a bigger one in more detail

Session we went on to design what the advert would look like in Photoshop. What I did to design this was combine two pictures that I took together and then use Dafont to use as the design for My title and Slogan.

The advert is like a build a build a bear advert but instead of all the bears being created to look nice and cuddly you can make them scary or creepy, This is how I came up with the slogan Friend or Fiend.

The idea changed from the original which was going to be a horror face painting company. The reason this changed was because I wouldn't off been able to get my hands on the Mannequin head with the face paints on,so I changed it to the create a toy advert.

Session 2
We had to find 10 images that fitted the brief of freak or Unique that we would be able to recreate

This image is weird and unique the photo is either a human foot and a high heel morphed together ,or a foot that has been arched and the heel stretched out.

This Image is unusual because it is using the mouth as a tunnel or ally going somewhere. It would be made by taking a picture of a persons mouth and then an alleyway/ path and Photoshop it into the mouth.

This a man with his facial features going through his hands. this was probably done by taking a picture of the face and then taking a picture of the face but with the hands covering it. It then would of had the picture of just the face which would have the features took out and added to the hands.

This is an apple split in half with a leaf on it the leaf uses the stalk of the apple as it's steam. this would be done by photo shopping the leaf to the apple.

This is a the top half of a woman in a bird bath full of blood. The lady has been painted white with blood flowing from her mouth and ears almost like she is crying and screaming.

This picture is of a lady's face being pushed to the side like a curtain to reveal a building.

This would of been done using a persons face with a curtain Photoshop to look like the hand is unveiling the building behind her.

This is a picture showing a mans hands holding a vase which has been dropped but instead of the vase braking the mans arms shattered. this can be done by breaking a vase and changing to the color of the skin an arranged to look like the arms have broken

This is a picture of a person covering there face but with multiple hands.This is probably done by duplicating the hands then layering them on top of each other.

This picture is of lips with gloss on and lip piercings with an eye int he middle.

This would of been done by taking a picture of a pair of lips and an eye and Photoshop the eye in the lips.

we had to go to the library today so we got to go on a tour we learnt where the black and white printer was and where the color printer is we also learnt how to use them and print our labels out for our advert.

We also learnt where certain books could be located. They have all sorts of books they have the educational books every library would but they also have magazines of all sought like fashion or media. They also have a graphic novel section which also contains manga.  I took out a book called Manga Impact which tells us about Anime's, there creators and there characters from all sought of different shows.

Session 1 we started off with a starter going over what we covered on the previous photography lesson. The first test was to identify 4 different shots from Photography.

1. The first one was the rule of thirds which is where there is a grid split into thirds and you focus the most important area in the image e.g the eyes on the lines .
2. Crop where the picture has been downsized and is zoomed into a certain area e.g the face.
3. Viewpoint picture taken from above.
4. Leading lines

On the camera you need to lightly press the shutter button and it will focus. push it down completely to take a photo.

We set up our shoot using paper as a background and red heads for lighting.

Editing your freaky image
We learnt how to used levels by putting the darker arrow at the peak on the right side and the lighter arrow on the peak of the right side and the middle arrow you can move about and use to adjust the lighting.
You can  use the levels tool or the curves tool to adjust the brightness and contrast of each of your photographs.
The Curves tool had a dropper with it so when you clicked on the white in made the background lighter.

These are the images after Leveling and curving the images.

With this I used the Level tool to adjust the lighting of  the image, I then used the dropper which Lightened the background from an orange color to a whiter,grey color.

with this picture I cropped the photo so there wasn't as much background. I also used levels and curves to adjust the lighting and the background so it wasn't as yellow. 

 I cropped this so the shadow wasn't as visible  and whitened the background 

I just cropped this image and then adjusted the light. I couldn't whiten the background with out it affecting the object.

I did the same as the one above which was crop the background and make it a bit brighter. I didn't whiten the background because the hands would not be visible.

I adjusted this picture by cropping it so there was not as much background I then adjusted the levels because it was dark on one side so I adjusted it so it would be a bit brighter, I also used the dropper on the background so it was white and not cream.

I just cropped this image so you couldn't see the shadow as much I then adjusted the light so the picture was more clear and whitened the background

Subversive Advertising
Unethical  company's

We had research some subversive advertisement's we looked at some for reference and found

We then had to go on and find our own Unethical company's We looked and there where loads like Apple and Nestle.

We then had to make our own subversive advertisement, I choose Nestle and how they wanted to control the worlds water supply.

Session 1

Today we went on to DAFONT  to look at different styles of Font we looked at them and typed in the Name of our product so we could see what it looked like in that font and if it looked good in that style.

I  think that the fonts i have chosen suit the Freak or Unique categories.

From the top

1. The first one reminds me of what a heavy metal band would use for there Name.
2. The second one reminds of the walking dead font so it's like it has other words in it  almost newspaper like as well 
3. Another font I feel a heavy metal band would use.
4. It looks like blood dripping so it looks Like it's been attacked and bleeding or that it has killed something.
5. Looks like something has spray painted on a wall in a creepy alley.
6. I think it looks like you would find it in the Zombie apocalypses, probably associate it with the warnings people have left or signs for restricted military areas

In the second session we went on to design what the label looked like I came up with two designs
I decided that i would use the second font from the previous session as the font for my label.

The first design is a bit plane but i like how the colors go together, I took the ingredients from a Coke cola bottle I found on the internet.

The extreme is green because i associate energy with green, I also added the slogan that i made up for the drink

The second label is almost identical but I decided to add to monsters on so it goes with the slogan escape the monster.

session 2
we had to do  a brainstorm for a product for our filmography advert. we thought about making our product many things like,
Energy drinks/ Bars
Protein drinks
sweets
clothing
road safety
shoes
or glasses

we thought about doing an advert for glasses or shoes we where stuck between so we brainstormed both Ideas for products and how we would develop them.

The glasses, we thought of making them Virtual Reality glasses but decided that it would heavily rely on effects which we haven't done that much with so we decided that we should stick to what we knew.

The shoes, we decided to focus on the shoes because they would be simple to follow, we wanted to focus on the feet using the steady shot (which is where the camera is upside down on a tripod and is following the person about, you then flip it for the finished product.) The idea was to follow the feet and then go behind them to see something follow them, it would then go to follow the feet of the person again running trying to get away. we came up with the slogan escape the monsters.
The advert is meant to show the shoes are comfy to wear and help you run faster (so you can escape the monster.
